Fred Helfers - Foundation to Finesse Workshop

Rewarding Rover is pleased to host a very intimate workshop with Fred Helfers. Only 6 working spots each day instead of the typical 12, so teams will work all day and on each of the four elements.

From "Foundation to Finesse" - Practical Workshop
In this workshop, Fred will work hands on with teams to improve training, teamwork and competition. The workshop covers handler skills, reading your dog, and training drills that define patterned searches and handler / dog communication with minimal intrusion on the dog working to an odor source.

For more information about Fred Helfers, please see

Six Nose work teams per day who are solid on all three odors, have no human aggression, and can be comfortably crated in their car or just outside. Priority will be given to teams with NW2 or higher titles or CNWIs needing CEUs.

Two working auditors per day - no prior nose work experience needed, but must be able to move around, bend over to move boxes, and stand still and hold a tablet to take videos and tolerate being outdoors in any weather. Working auditors will video for two elements and then switch with the other working auditor. Some other light duties will be required, such as shuffling boxes during the container search, or retrieving items Fred Helfers needs.
